Auf der am 11. April 2024 abgehaltenen Konferenz, organisiert von der Europäischen Vereinigung von Jurist:innen für Demokratie und Menschenrechte in der Welt (ELDH), den Europäischen Demokratischen Anwält:innen (AED) und MAF-DAD, wurden Feststellungen und Schlussfolgerungen getroffen und in einer Abschlusserklärung festgehalten.
Die Erklärung hält fest, dass in ganz Europa und insbesondere in den Gefängnissen der Türkei Folter und Misshandlungen von Tag zu Tag offensichtlicher werden und dass sich die Isolation zu einer gängigen Vollzugsmaßnahme entwickelt.

At the conference held on 11 April 2024, organised by the European Association of Lawyers for Democracy and World Human Rights (ELDH), the European Democratic Lawyers (AED) and MAF-DAD, findings and conclusions were reached and set out in a final declaration.
The declaration records that torture and ill-treatment in prisons are becoming more evident by the day across Europe, and especially in Turkey's prisons, and that isolation is developing into a routine measure of detention.
