Am 19. April 2026 fand in der Volkshochschule Köln (Cäcilienstraße 35) von 10 bis 16 Uhr ein Symposium unter dem Titel „Den demokratischen Gesellschaftsprozess im zweiten Jahr neu denken“ statt. Eröffnet wurde es von Dersim Dağdeviren vom Netzwerk Kurdischer Akademiker:innen (Kurd-Akad).
Auf dem Programm standen unter anderem:
- Rojava zwischen Konflikt und Verhandlungen — Foza Yusuf, Mitglied des Vorstands der PYD, Syrien
- Ein Jahr Dialogprozess, der Bericht der parlamentarischen Kommission und Abdullah Öcalans Herangehensweise — Prof. Dr. Mithat Sancar, Abgeordneter der DEM-Partei und Mitglied der İmralı-Delegation
- „Weder Krieg noch Frieden“: die Kurd:innen im Griff des Prozesses — Ass. Prof. Adnan Çelik, EHESS

On 19 April 2026, a symposium entitled “Rethinking the democratic society process in its second year” was held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Volkshochschule Köln (Cäcilienstraße 35). It was opened by Dersim Dağdeviren of the Network of Kurdish Academics (Kurd-Akad).
The programme included:
- Rojava between conflict and negotiations — Foza Yusuf, member of the PYD executive board, Syria
- One year of the dialogue process, the parliamentary commission's report, and Abdullah Öcalan's approach — Prof. Dr Mithat Sancar, DEM Party member of parliament and member of the İmralı delegation
- “Neither war nor peace”: the Kurds in the grip of the process — Ass. Prof. Adnan Çelik, EHESS
